Kathleen Gordon has served for 9 years as the Associate Director of the highly-ranked AUWCL Clinical Program, where she manages the logistics and operations of the program’s 10 in-house clinics, which serve about 230 students per year. Prof. Gordon is particularly interested in nonprofit management, cultivating a public service ethic among law students and attorneys, and using technology to increase efficiency in the delivery of legal services, particularly to low-income and under-represented individuals and groups. Before coming to AUWCL, Prof. Gordon managed attorney recruitment and training programs for the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, where she also helped to develop and market legal resource websites for low-income D.C. residents and for pro bono attorneys in D.C. Prior to that, she was a commercial real estate associate at Shaw Pittman (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman) and a judicial clerk for the late Hon. Rudi M. Brewster, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of California. Prof. Gordon holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Davidson College and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.
