Law Librarian Emeritus
Patrick E. Kehoe was a professor of law and the director of the law library for thirty years before retiring on August 1, 2003. He came to AU's WCL in 1973 following law library service at Yale and the universities of Houston and Washington. Kehoe holds a bachelor of commercial science degree in finance from Seattle University, and juris doctor and master of law librarianship degrees from Washington. He is admitted to the practice of law in Washington State, and before the U.S. Supreme Court. Kehoe taught courses in admiralty, agency, and employment law. He consults in all areas of law library management. He is a former president of the American Association of Law Libraries and is the author of several books and many articles in his field. He served as chair of American University's Faculty Senate during his last year before retiring. He was listed in Marquis Who's Who in America. Kehoe, who is married, resides in Olympia, Washington. He has two grown children. His interests include classical music, electronics, travel, boating, water sports, and outdoor activities.
