Gloria B. Solomon has been in private practice in Washington, D.C. throughout her career. She is currently the managing partner of Trout Cacheris & Janis PLLC, a litigation boutique in Washington, D.C., where she focuses on white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation.
Ms. Solomon was part of the trial team that defended a former congressman in a federal bribery prosecution and litigated the constitutionality of the search of his congressional office. She has represented individual employees in government investigations of alleged Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations and other corporate crime, and clients under federal investigation for illegal gratuities, government contracts fraud, and mortgage fraud. On the civil side, she has experience in the defense of civil false claims actions, complex business and real estate disputes involving fraud and other business torts, and the defense of legal malpractice actions.
Ms. Solomon received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1981, and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Tufts University in 1978, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. This is her second year teaching in the Legal Rhetoric Program at WCL.
