Deborah Kelly is a partner at Blank Rome. Prior to joining Blank Rome, Ms. Kelly led the Employment Practice of an Am Law 100 firm where she also served as its Deputy General Counsel and a member of its Executive Committee. Ms. Kelly handles every aspect of employment law other than union-management disputes. She has tried noncompete cases to a jury and is increasingly called on to handle litigation that results from alleged breach of restrictive covenants leading to trade secret cases. She also counsels boards of directors about complicated high?level employment matters.
Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Kelly spent almost a decade in academia. From November 1979 to August 1981, she worked in governmental studies at The Brookings Institution, where she conducted research on rape victims’ perspective of the criminal justice system and, between 1977 and 1979, worked on a book on congressional oversight of federal administrative practices.
