Crystal Deese



Crystal is a member of the Jackson & Campbell, P.C. and Co¬Chair of the firm’s Health Law Practice Group. She practices in the areas of medical malpractice, serious personal injury, complex litigation, and business and commercial law. Crystal has first¬ chaired the defense in significant medical malpractice trials on behalf of the region’s largest health care systems and providers and is widely regarded for her courtroom advocacy and professionalism. She also works with health care providers across the spectrum ¬¬ health systems, physician practices, and ancillary care providers ¬¬ on licensing and disciplinary as well as Federal and state regulatory matters.

Crystal’s skills and natural leadership ability, combined with her health care litigation knowledge, have led to her invitation to serve as a guest speaker and presenter at regional programs on health care risk management and litigation related issues. In 2009, she was recognized as a "rising Star" by Maryland Super Lawyers. In 2012, Crystal was elected as Co-Chair of the Torts Section of the D.C. Bar.

Crystal received her B.A. in Political Science from Winthrop University (1993, magna cum laude) and her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law (1996, cum laude). She is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Maryland, the DC Bar, and the Virginia Bar.
