Ethan Davis joined the WCL faculty in 2012. He is currently an attorney in the national appellate practice at King & Spalding, LLP. Before joining King & Spalding, Mr. Davis served for four years as a litigator in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. In that capacity, he served as the government's lead or co-counsel in a number of cases involving constitutional challenges to federal statutes, suits to overturn government policies and programs, and challenges to the legality of the actions of federal officials. In many of those cases, Mr. Davis personally argued dispositive motions and motions for preliminary injunctions in federal courts around the country.
Before joining the Justice Department, he clerked for Judge Diarmuid F. O'Scannlain of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He received a B.A. summa cum laude from Amherst College and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
