Bio
Chante Lasco is an alumna of WCL who brings a broad range of experience to the classroom. She currently works for the Appeals Council in the Social Security Administration Disability Program. Additionally, she teaches courses in the Political Science Department at Salisbury University, including Mock Trial, American Constitutional Development, Judicial Process and Politics, and International Law. Ms. Lasco also taught in the paralegal program at Chesapeake College and has served as an assistant state’s attorney in Dorchester County, Maryland. Previously, Ms. Lasco worked at WCL’s War Crimes Research Office (WCRO) developing tools, training, and technical assistance in the prosecution of sexual and gender-based violence under international law in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Central African Republic. As part of her role at the WCRO, Ms. Lasco also coached WCL’s teams competing in the International Criminal Court Moot Competition and International Humanitarian Law Competitions, including Jean-Pictet. As a WCL student, Ms. Lasco completed an externship at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Arusha, Tanzania and clerked at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
