Professor Carrasco practiced for four years at Arnold & Porter (A&P) before joining the faculty at the University of Iowa College of Law. While at A&P, he represented Latin American countries during the debt crisis of the 1980's. Professor Carrasco began teaching in 1990, where over the course of two decades he established a global reputation in international finance and development and created a Center on the topic. A professionally-produced playwright, Professor Carrasco is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America. He is also a competitive wheelchair tennis athlete, and is writing a book on the topic.
