Equal Justice Foundation

The Equal Justice Foundation (EJF) is a non-profit, student-run organization dedicated to closing the justice gap for most vulnerable members of the population. EJF raises funds to provide stipends to Washington College of Law students who take unpaid summer internships with public interest organizations in the United States and abroad. Since it was established in 1989, EJF has given out over 800 stipends, growing each year with the support of the WCL law school community. Through EJF our students are able to deliver critical services to underrepresented members of our community, while gaining valuable experiences in the public interest sector.

For 21 years, the Equal Justice Foundation has supported hundreds of students giving back thousands of hours of service to their communities around the D.C. Metro Area, the country, and around the world. The majority of EJF's outside funding is raised at the annual Public Interest Charity Auction where we auction goods and services donated by WCl students, faculty and staff, and by the local business community.
