Each year the dean of the law school selects the internal Faculty Scholarship Award Winners considering the recommendations of a committee composed of the previous year's winners. The Committee on Scholarship for 2013 was composed of Professors Rick Wilson, Robert Vaughn, and Professor Susan Bennett.

2013 Faculty Scholarship Awards and winners are as follows:

Pauline Ruyle Moore Scholar Award

• Professor Susan Carle for Defining the Struggle: National Organizing for Racial Justice, 1880-1915.

Elizabeth Payne Cubberly Scholar Award

• Lindsay Wiley for Shame, Blame, and the Emerging Law of Obesity Control.

Emalee C. Godsey Scholar Award

• Professor Jonathan Baker for Economics and Politics: Perspectives on the Goals and Future of Antitrust, and Exclusion as a Core Competition Concern.

Egon Guttman Casebook Award

• Professor Walter Effross for Corporate Governance: Principles and Practices (2d ed.).
