Champions Challenge 2022

This February, we will come together as a community to celebrate one of American University’s most enduring traditions – AU Giving Day. In honor of AUs founding, February 24 and 25 marks the launch a 36-hour university wide giving event. Putting our own special twist on the name, “AUWCL’s Champions Challenge” has become a much-anticipated annual occurrence. AUWCL will endeavor to raise 275 gifts and take part in this celebratory day of giving. We deeply appreciate the generosity you have already shown this year and hope you’ll join us by making an additional contribution to AUWCL to make the 36-hour giving challenge a success. Your support helps sustain the extraordinary education and experience of our students.

February 24-25, 2022. 36 hours to make a difference. Are you with us?

Every year, our community comes together during the 36-hour Champions Challenge with one goal: to make a difference for AUWCL. This year, AUWCL has two opportunities to unlock a challenge match from our community:

If we reach 150 gifts by 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 24th, Alumnus Chris White JD/MBA ’19 will gift $20,000 towards AUWCL's Business Law Student Experience Fund.

If we reach 275 gifts by 7 p.m. on Friday, February 25th, Alumnus Richard Pollak JD ’83 and Behzad Gohari will gift $40,000 to support student scholarships.

AUWCL Challenge Match: $60,000

If AUWCL reaches its goal of 275 gifts to AUWCL by 7 p.m. on Thursday, AUWCL alumnus Richard Pollak, JD ’83, and Behzad Gohari, will make a gift of $40,000 to AUWCL’s Adjunct Faculty Initiative, which is focused on securing funds to endow scholarships for students attending AUWCL. Give now.

In addition, if we hit our goal of 150 gifts, AUWCL will receive a gift of $20,000 from Chris White in support of AUWCL’s Business Law Student Experience Fund. This flexible fund supports the “other” costs associated with law school and helps our students succeed. Give now.
