Message from the Director
I am pleased to announce the establishment of the Center on International Commercial Arbitration at American University Washington College of Law. The Center will provide a high-level academic forum for exchanging ideas on salient issues and current developments in international commercial arbitration and expand on the significant accomplishments of WCL’s International Arbitration Program.
Part of the Center's mandate is to educate and train students and practitioners on emerging issues in the field of international commercial arbitration. In that regard, the Center oversees a variety of academic and extracurricular activities, including specialized course offerings, conferences and workshops, networking events, internships and professional development programming, research and publication opportunities, and participation in related moot court competitions.
As well, students and practitioners will benefit from the insight provided by the newly established advisory board consisting of many of the most influential and highly respected practitioners in international commercial arbitration.
I hope you will take a moment to visit the Center's web site for more information and consider joining us at one of our events.Sincerely,
Horacio A. Grigera Naón
Director, Center on International Commercial Arbitration
