The Arbitration Summer Session does not provide housing for Summer Program participants. However, there are a number of places participants can look to find housing. Please note that hotels are often cheaper booked via travel websites such as www.hotels.com, www.expedia.com, or www.travelocity.com. Participants of Arbitration Summer Session have the option to stay in the American University dormitory at Centennial Hall, which feature the popular and convenient suite-style rooms (two double rooms sharing one bathroom).
Rates for the Summer 2009 are as follows:
Single - $70/night
Double as Single - Centennial $70/night
Double - Centennial $48/person/night
Front Desk: The main front desk for all of South Side (Anderson, Centennial, and Letts Halls) will be the Letts Front Desk. The Letts Front Desk will be open 24 hours a day should guests lose their keys or need assistance in an emergency. The Anderson Front Desk will be open for major check-ins.
Parking: All guests staying on campus are eligible for a parking permit. The cost of the permit is included in the cost of housing. The parking permit will be for the Nebraska parking lot, located on the corner of Nebraska Avenue and New Mexico Avenue. Participants not staying on campus are welcome to pay to park at the Nebraska lot (pay upon arrival). There is a shuttle that runs from main campus to the Nebraska lot to the metro station.
Kitchen: There is a community kitchen on each floor of the residence hall; however, there are no cooking supplies or dishes.
Phones: There are no phones for guests to use in the residence hall. They can purchase pay-as-you-go phones from area retailers.
Linens: Each guest will be provided with 2 sheets, a blanket, and a towel. The linens can be changed once a week upon request from the program coordinator.
Directions: you can take a taxi or a cheaper alternative is the Super Shuttle shared van service. When you arrive at the Airport follow the signs to ground transportation and look for the blue and yellow Super Shuttle reservations desk. Give them the address below.

How to apply:
To apply for on campus housing at American University, please go to the American University housing registration page. On the right hand side click on "Apply Now." This will take you to the terms and conditions which you must read carefully. At the bottom of the page, you will choose CONFERENCE GROUPS as your status from the drop down menu. Click "I agree" and proceed to the Application Form. Under the "Organization Name" category, please select "International /Environmental Law" and proceed with your application.
