Congratulations on your recent graduation from American University Washington College of Law. On behalf of the Office of Development &Alumni Relations we welcome you to the WCL alumni Community, and look forward to continuing our relationship with you.
As a graduate, you will have multiple opportunities to network, socialize, and create business relationships through specially designed alumni programs. In addition, you are invited to Founders’ Events and other conferences hosted at WCL throughout the year. Also, WCL offers alumni benefits that include use of the Pence Law Library (see below), class auditing, career counseling services, program podcasts and webcasts, CLE opportunities, and much more. And we will soon launch a new online CLE site with great discounts for our alumni.

Additional Information For New Graduates:
Your WCL Gmail email address will remain active. You can use it for correspondence with WCL, as well as have it forwarded to another email account.
Your myau.american.edu access continues indefinitely also. If you receive emails that you would prefer not to receive (@AU Today), please reply to those emails directly.
Your MyWCL account and printing privileges continue until August 1. You can take advantage of these opportunities while studying for the bar.

Westlaw and Lexis will be in touch with you directly with information regarding online access after graduation.
The Office of Career and Professional Development has several online forums for your use as a graduate. Visit their web pages at www.wcl.american.edu/OCPD for more information.
Pence Law Library
You have unlimited access to the WCL building and facilities until August 1. After August 1, you will need to sign in at the lobby front desk (as an alumnus) with a photo ID. And you will need an alumni card to take out books. The alumni card is available in person in suite 376 (9:30 – 4:30 weekdays) or by mail – email email@example.com if you would like one.
When you visit the library, you have access to all of the Library’s databases as well as the Public Access version of Westlaw and LexisNexis Academic.
Don’t forget that as WCL alums you can receive assistance from our expert librarians, in person or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You may use the AU fitness center until the end of July for a $50 fee.
