Important Information for New Grads
May 21, 2011
Congratulations on your graduation from American University Washington College of Law and welcome to the Alumni group. We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with you.
As a graduate, you will have multiple opportunities to network, socialize, and create business relationships through specially designed alumni programs. In addition, you are invited to Founders’ Events and other conferences hosted at WCL throughout the year. Visit our website and the online calendar at www.wcl.american.edu/calendar (alumni) as new events are continuously added!
Also, WCL offers alumni benefits that include use of the Pence Law Library (see second side of this letter), class auditing, career counseling services, program podcasts and webcasts, CLE opportunities, and much more. Additional information can be found on the alumni relations website at www.wcl.american.edu/alumni and click on “What WCL Can Do For You – As An Alum” to find out what other benefits are available to you.
Looking to network with other alumni? Searching for a job? Join our alumni online community at wcl.affinitycircles.com. All you need is your name/alumni ID number (same as your student ID number). This will be available to you in August, 2011.
There is so much more to share with you, all of which can be found online, in our bi-monthly e-newsletter the Legal Eagle, and in our print publication The Advocate. Please make sure we have your updated contact (mail and email) information so you can continue to stay up-to-date. Better yet, fill out your new contact information on the link on the alumni web site, on InCircle, or send us your updated contact information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Again, welcome to the Alumni group. Please don’t hesitate to contact our Alumni Relations Office at 202-274-4163 or by email at email@example.com (JD) or firstname.lastname@example.org (ILSP LLM) or email@example.com (Law and Government LLM and SJD) with any questions, comments or concerns. Consider the Alumni Relations Offices your WCL liaison.
