Chair of The John Sherman Myers Society

The John Sherman Myers Society, Washington College of Law’s most prestigious annual giving society, was established to honor former Dean John Sherman Myers and his wife, Alvina Reckman Myers, who committed their professional lives and personal wealth to WCL and its students. Since its inception thirty years ago, the Myers Society has had a visible impact on WCL students by providing critical funding for scholarships, technological developments, facilities, academic initiatives and student services.

Washington College of Law provides our exceptional students with the tools necessary to be successful in their careers. Many of these former students turned alumni appreciate the opportunities that were given to them and understand the importance of giving something back to the WCL community

As a member of the WCL community, you are invited to join the Myers Society and its members by contributing $1,500 annually or more to the Washington College of Law. With your commitment, you will become an important part of a community of donors who are making it possible for WCL to meet the challenges of providing the highest caliber of legal education to its students.

Beyond the benefit of knowing that your financial support is preparing future members of the legal profession for a rewarding career, other benefits include: an invitation to a formal dinner with Dean Camille Nelson recognizing your generosity, networking opportunities with Myers Society members, and added opportunities to mentor students.

We look forward to your future membership and thank you for your commitment to sustaining WCL’s tradition of excellence as an internationally recognized force in the field of legal education.
