Mary Ellen Flynn
Ms. Flynn is a 1988 graduate of the Washington College of Law. As a student she was a Note & Comment Editor on the Journal of International Law, clerked in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and served as a Dean's Fellow for Professor Kovacic-Fleisher.
She is a principal and Managing Partner in the law firm of Andalman & Flynn. Her areas of practice include domestic relations, collections and judgment enforcement, and civil litigation. She has been practicing law in Maryland since 1988 and in DC since 1989.
In May, 2008, Ms. Flynn was installed as president of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland. She is only the fifth woman since the Association's founding in 1894 to be elected to this position. Prior to her election she had served as treasurer of the association, treasurer of its bar foundation, president of the Montgomery County Chapter of the Women's Bar Association, chair of the Solo and Small Firm Section of the Maryland State Bar Association, and as an executive committee member of the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association. Ms. Flynn has also served as treasurer of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Litigation Section Council and Chair of Montgomery County Bar Association’s Committee of Specialty Bar Associations.
