Gerald E. Battist
Mr. Battist is a 1966 graduate of the Washington College of Law. He was a founding member of the Patent Law Association at WCL.
He is currently of-counsel at Parkhurst and Wendel, LLP, specializing in intellectual property law including patent litigation. Previously, Mr. Battist was in house counsel at Eastman Kodak, focusing on patent procurement and patent litigation matters, and as Director of Licensing and Technology Development, including technology licensing, patent enforcement, mergers and acquisitions, developing business ventures, and management of patent and technology portfolios. After early retirement from Eastman Kodak, he became Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors for Fuisz Technologies.
Mr. Battist is also the author Management of Intellectual Property for the Growth of Business and has lectured on the role of proprietary intellectual property in growing businesses.
