Mr. Karp is a 1971 graduate of the law school.
Mr. Karp is Managing Partner at Karp Frosh. He has recently been engaged in major truck accident litigation, which has been featured on the front page of The Washington Post and on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. Hehas secured many successful settlements in trucking cases including a $9.4 million payout for the victim of a truck accident. Herecently co-counseled a case in federal court which secured a $12 million verdict for the victim of terrorism. Mr. Karp is proud that he is respected by his peers and has been selected year after year to appear in Best Lawyers in America—a listing of the top one percent of lawyers in the United States. In 2013the Washington Post magazine published a list in the Super Lawyers section called: Washington DC: THE TOP 100. He was listed amongst the top 100 lawyers who received the highest point totals in the nomination and blue ribbon review process. He was selected to the same elite list of lawyers in Baltimore Magazine for the State of Maryland.As thefirm's managing partner, Mr. Karp has been a frequent lecturer at trial lawyer seminars, and has appeared on numerous television and radio programs.He has been lead counsel in a number of high-profile cases which have been referenced in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Times of London, People Magazine and various network television programs.
Mr. Karpis proud of many cases over the years, but especially when he achieved the first million dollar jury verdict in the history of Frederick, Maryland when his client was victimized by a negligent truck driver.He was lead counsel in Martin v. Washington Hospital Center (appellate opinion published) which helpset the standards for emergency rooms in hospitals. He was lead counsel in a one of the first successful sexual harassment trials in Montgomery County, Marylandwhen he represented a group of women against a Fortune 500 company.
