Leigh-Alexandra Basha

Mrs. Basha is a partner in Holland & Knight's Northern Virginia and Washington DC offices and chairs the firm's International Private Client Practice. She focuses her practice on domestic and foreign estate and tax planning. Her practice attracts clients from around the globe who need assistance with pre-immigration planning, tax compliance, business succession planning, estate and trust administration, and family wealth preservation.

Mrs. Basha is chair of the Income and Transfer Tax Planning Group of the Real Property Trust and Estates Section of the American Bar Association and is vice chair of, Task Force on USA Patriot Act and is the Gatekeeper Regulation.  She is also the chair of STEP Worldwide for the Mid-Atlantic Branch and is a member of the American University Washington College of Law, Dean's Advisory Council. 

She has been honored by The Best Lawyers in America guide, Tax Law; Trusts and Estates, 2012-2014, Citywealth Leaders List, 2009-2013, Women and the Law Leadership Award, American University Washington College of Law, 2011, and Leading Lawyer, The Washingtonian, 2009, 2010, 2012 just to name a few.

She is an alumnus of the American University, Washington College of Law and is currently serving as a professor for the spring 2014 semester. Her daughter is a recent WCL graduate.
