Financial aid may be available to assist you.
How many credits can I take? What about financial aid?
The minimum number of credits to be eligible to receive federal financial aid over a summer is 3 (this is a change from previous years). The most credits allowed over a summer term is 7, with 8 credits being allowed with permission from the Office of the Registrar. If you do not intend to apply for federal financial aid, the minimum is 1 credit, with the same maximum.
You can take a mix of summer-term long courses (like the doctrinal courses) and short institute courses. Keep in mind that if you intend to apply for federal financial aid living expense funds, allocation is determined by the dates of your classes, including one additional week for finals, and capped at ten weeks with a two week minimum requirement.
