The Advocacy Program Congratulates Our Student Competition Teams for a Successful Weekend!

Regional Champions
Regional Champions at the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition's Eastern 4 regional

The Advocacy Program would like to congratulate our teams for a successful weekend as WCL's nationally acclaimed advocacy program asserts itself once again!

First, congratulations to Eric Ettore, Chris Jannace, Elena Ritchie, and Tim Schmeling for finishing as semifinalists in the William & Mary International Negotiation Competition. The team was coached by Jamie Rosenberg and Betsy Craig. We are also very proud of Hirokazu Kishinami and Mia Fairweather for completing this first competition as ADRHS members.

Second, congratulations to Dakotah Gray, Cassandre Gaspard, Taryn Boyer, and Caroline Trabucco for winning the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition's Eastern 4 regional. This competition started with 196 teams and now this team from WCL will compete in the 12 team national finals later this spring. The team was undefeated and the top seed throughout the regional winning all available ballots. The team was coached by WCL alums Gabrielle LoGaglio and Greg Evans.

Finally, a second trial team from WCL deserves high praise as Matthew Renetzky, Kristen Powell, Lauren Shepard, and Jordan Hulseberg was just one point away from also advancing in the same AAJ regional. This team was second in total points scored (second only to our other team) and only dropped one ballot over the competition. They finished fifth in the regional. This team was coached by Prava Palacharla and Allison Widder.
