Hashem Alsharif, an SJD Candidate at American University Washington College of Law, is completing his dissertation titled, "Alternative Punishments to Incarceration in the Sharia Criminal Law: The Applicability of Those Alternatives in The Saudi Arabian Criminal Law for Persons with Disabilities." His academic interests and professional background include: Criminal Law, Disability Rights, Islamic Law, Constitution Law, and Administrative Law.
