Dr. Cristiane Dias

SJD Program Graduate

 

Dr. Cristiane Dias sucessfully completed her S.J.D. degree at American University Washington College of Law. The title of her dissertation was  “A Comparative Study between the Brazilian and the United States' Environmental Permitting Procedure." Her academic interests and professional expertise include: International Law, International Environmental Law, Comparative Environmental Law, International Human Rights Law & the Environment. 

Prior to joining the Washington College of Law’s S.J.D. Program, Dr. Dias worked in major companies in Brazil as an environmental lawyer. She also worked as an independent consultant, where she wrote legal chapters of Environmental Impact Studies in order to assess installation of important facilities in Brazil.
