Dr. Byungsik Jung

Dr. Byungsik Jung successfully earned his S.J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in the Summer of 2009. His dissertation was entitled “Jurisprudence for Prudential Measures in International Trade in Financial Services.” His professional experience includes: serving as a Financial Services Negotiator representing Korea under the WTO and various Free Trade Agreements; International discussions regarding Sovereign Debt Restructuring Mechanism, Collective Action Clause and Code of Conduct (2003 – 2005); Monitoring international finance markets; Introducing a Parallel Import System to stabilize prices of imported goods; and Revising the Consumer Protection Law. His fields of study and professional expertise lie in Financial Regulation and International Trade Laws, and he has been professionally affiliated with the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE) in Korea since 1994. Dr. Jung is fluent in Korean and English.
