DESCRIPTION;ALTREP="http://www.wcl.american.edu/wcl_events/event_detail.cfm?event_id=28454";ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Incidents of bias against Muslims have been on the rise since 9/11, but have intensified in recent months.  This bias has taken the form of acts of violence, opposition to construction of places of worship, and discrimination in the workplace and schools.  This program will bring together experts from the Department of Justice, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, academia, and the public interest sector to discuss the reasons for the rising number of incidents, the particular problems that Muslims face, and the solutions that government officials and others have pursued. CLE credit available. Lunch will be served.
