discuss how they got
into family law &
advice they have for
students looking to
practice family law.
• Learn about the
challenges that
attorneys serving
lgbt families face
in their practice
and the unique
challenges that come
up when sexuality
intersects with
poverty and illness.
• Learn about other
ideas regarding
family creation that
could benefit all
families, married
and unmarried,
extended and
nuclear, gay and
straight.
This program will
feature Professor
Nancy Polikoff and
two family law
practitioners who
will address how
LGBT community
members obtain legal
recognition of and
protection for their
families.
