Turkey Summer Law Program
|
The Summer Law Program in Turkey will give students an international view of rule-of-law issues relevant to Turkey, Central Asia and the Middle East. Students will also acquire knowledge of the legal aspects of trade and investment in developing countries, as well as of the legal challenges involved in accession to the European Union. Students will gain a better understanding of the social and political developments in the Middle East and Central Asia regions in general and of Turkey in particular, including with respect to human rights, environment and security issues.
The Summer Law Program in Turkey provides an opportunity to both law students and American attorneys to learn on site with some of the best Turkish and European law professors and experts in the field and meet practitioners and policy makers from Turkey. The Summer Law Program in Turkey also includes field trips to Ankara, where students will meet World Bank staff, and to Ephesus, one of the world's most important historical sites.
The summer in Turkey will be an unforgettable experience. Istanbul's location is prime, the education first-rate, extracurricular activities abound, and opportunities for internships or travel after the program await. The experience will change your views on the world and in the areas of comparative and international law.
