Final round of the 16th Annual Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition. This competition is the only one in the world that is argued in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Sixty-one teams from across the globe competed.

Conferences, seminars, and debates are an important part of the intellectual life of the Washington College of Law, and this Ceremonial Courtroom provides an ideal setting for these activities. Each year, WCL hosts more than 100 special events and conferences. Many of these events are part of our spring semester Founders' Celebration.

Past speakers in the Ceremonial Courtroom include five Supreme Court justices (Rehnquist, Ginsberg, O'Connor, Scalia, and Breyer), the President of Honduras, members of the International Criminal Tribunals in the Former Yugoslavia and Rwanda, and consumer advocate Ralph Nader.
