Wireless Infrastructure-Mode Configuration for Mac OS X
- Click on the airport symbol near the top right of your screen. If your laptop is configured to host an ad-hoc network the symbol will look different than the normal airport signal, the pie shaped icon will be grey with a computer on it.
- In the menu that appears, there will be a section headed with “Computer-to-Computer” networks. Uncheck anything if checked in this section of the menu. Check where it says “wcl” to connect to the wcl network.
- To completely remove your ad-hoc network, if desired:
- Click on the apple menu.
- Click on system preferences.
- Click on network.
- Highlight the network with the same name as your laptop.
- Click on the “-“ symbol.
- Click on apply now.
