Duplex Printing for Vista
With iPrint computers using XP are able to download a preconfigured driver that has the duplex option enabled automatically. It's not set to default, but it does make it appear in the print options menu. The option to setup a preconfigured driver has never been available for Vista or Macs. Duplex printing or any other extra feature is available of course, but it does need to be configured manually in order to get the option to appear.
To enable it in Vista go to the Printers menu in the Control Printer.
- Right click on the printer and choose "Properties".
- Go to the "Device Settings" tab and scroll down to "Installable Options".
- Find "Duplex Unit" and click where it says "Not Installed".
- That will bring up a drop down box that you can change to "Installed".
- Once that's done the option will appear.
