Xiaoqi Sun
S.J.D. Candidate

Xiaoqi Sun is currently an S.J.D. candidate at American University Washington College of Law. She is completing her dissertation titled "Chinese Multinational Corporations in Africa's Infrastructure Projects - From the Perspective of Corporate Social Responsibility."
Prior to beginning the S.J.D. Program at WCL, she worked with the International Law Institute as an intern, and participated in various seminars and programs including Governance and Anti-corruption, International Oil and Gas Development, Private Participation in Infrastructure Development and Project Finance, International Procurement, WTO and Regional Trade Agreement, and Legislative Strategic Planning and Management.
During her LL.M. studies, she interned for the UN Committee Against Torture, under the supervision of Ambassador Gallegos and assisted his excellency in preparing for the Committee's 40th Session held in May 2010.
She also worked as a Dean's Fellow for the War Crime Research Office, and did extensive research on procedural issues of the International Criminal Court. Ms. Sun is fluent in Cantonese, Madarin, and English.
