JUNGWON (SOPHIA) HUR, Korea
S.J.D. Candidate
Jungwon Hur, an S.J.D. candidate at American University Washington College of Law, is completing her dissertation titled “Reforming the Regulatory Regime for Credit Rating Agencies in Korea: Analysis and Proposal based on Recent U.S. Experience.” Ms. Hur’s fields of research include: United States Securities Law, United States and Korean Corporate Law, and Economic Law. Her research interests lie in constitutional law, legal history, and politics. Ms. Hur earned her teacher's license in Seoul, Korea. Before coming to the U.S., she served as a high school teacher of social studies, politics and laws. Ms. Hur is fluent in Korean and English.
