S.J.D. Candidate
Morad Elsana, an S.J.D. candidate at American University Washington College of Law, is completing his dissertation titled “Recognizing Indigenous Land Rights - the Case of the Bedouins in Israel.” Prior to joining Washington College of Law’s S.J.D. program, Mr. Elsana served as Staff Attorney & Director of Adalah's Naqab Office at the Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Adalah, Israel (2001 - 2009). Mr. Elsana also served as the Legal Advisor for Genesis- Community Advocacy (2001 - 2003) and Pro-bono Legal Advisor for the Regional Council for the Unrecognized Villages in the Negev (1997 - 2000). His fields of study and professional expertise include: Property Law and Indigenous Rights, Human Rights Law, Minority Rights, and Comparative International Law. Mr. Elsana is fluent in English, Arabic, and Hebrew.
