In December 2014, Peru will host the Twentieth Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP20) and the Tenth Meeting of the Parties of the Kyoto Protocol (CMP10). Germán Vera, a longtime diplomat and current Director of Environmental Policy in the Latin American Institute of International Law and International Relations, a Lima-based think tank, will be advising the Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru for COP20. Join us for a discussion with him about these upcoming negotiations and his related new book Climate Change in International Law: A Vision for Citizens and Business in Peru and Latin America. Germán Vera will be joined in this discussion by Professor David Hunter who will serve as a commentator. A light lunch will be served.
