Capitol City Challenge Mock Trial Competition

Opening Reception at American University Washington College of Law and Competition at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia Participants from 18 law schools from around the nation will compete before some of the most accomplished attorneys and judges from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The competition emphasizes the creative use of technology in the courtroom. Participants from the championship round will have the opportunity to perform a voir dire of potential judges (jurors) to determine their final evaluators. The best advocates in the competition are awarded individual trophies, the final teams receive trophies, and the names of the winning advocates and their school are permanently engraved on a trophy to remain on display at American University Washington College of Law.
