Practitioners, litigators and legal and academic experts from different regions around the world will identify lessons learned in litigating cases before the UN Committee against Torture. The conference will address core challenges of litigating cases at the universal level including procedural and substantive issues, documenting cases of torture, protecting victims and witnesses, anddeveloping best practices for theimplementation of and follow-up to the Committee’s decisions. The conference will draw on the global experience of the SOS torture network fighting torture around the globe.
