17th Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition
Monday-Friday, May 21-25, 2012
American University Washington College of Law, Various Rooms
4801 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC
The Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition is the only trilingual (English, Spanish, Portuguese) moot court based on the Inter-American human rights legal system. The competition challenges student competitors and human rights practitioners alike by engaging them in cutting-edge legal discussions based on a hypothetical case, this year focusing on indigenous rights. Over the course of five days, participants take part in oral arguments, network at a variety of special events, and attend meetings and conferences specific to the Inter-American System. The week culminates with a highly anticipated and well-attended final round, which is free and open to the public.
