With the National Popular Vote campaign reaching the milestone of having half of the electoral college votes pledged necessary to activate the interstate compact, the nation is increasingly focused on whether it is time to move to direct election of the president. This discussion will pit advocates of the National Popular Vote movement against defenders of the current regime.
