Jobs! How the Economy Has Affected Employment in the Criminal Sector

This symposium will consist of a panel discussion and networking event. Panelists will discuss how the economic downturn has affected their practices, how they have managed their case loads with less resources and what they have found to be the best practices to accommodate the demands of their profession, the current state of their practices, if they have seen any improvement, where they see criminal law practice moving in the future, and recommendations for lawyers looking to break into the criminal law field. Following the panel discussion, there will be a networking event involving the panelists and additional practitioners from the criminal law sector. Panelists and practitioners participating in the networking event will be drawn from a range of practices and institutions within the criminal law sector.
