Washington College of Law will host the North American Regional Round of the 2011 ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO law. This is a simulated hearing of the World Trade Organization dispute settlement system and is organized annually by ELSA (The European Law Students Association). Competitor teams represent both the Complainant and Respondent parties to the Case by presenting oral submissions in front of a Panel. The Competition provides students with the opportunity to put theory into practice, thereby complementing their formal legal education. The competition is open to teams from around the globe and the 9th edition of the Competition will be finalized in May 2011 in Geneva, Switzerland.
