The United Nations Committee against Torture Project Panel Presentation

Wednesday, February 2, 2011
12:10 PM - 01:15 PM
American University Washington College of Law, Room 603
4801 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC

The law school's UN Committee against Torture (UN CAT) Project is a one-of-a-kind experiential learning opportunity for selected upper-level students to deepen their knowledge of the prohibition of torture under international law through a specialized seminar, and partake in the Project's field component: accompanying UN CAT Chair Dean Claudio Grossman to the Committee's official meetings in Geneva, Switzerland, in November. The Dean, UN CAT Project Coordinator Jennifer de Laurentiis, student participants and professors will discuss this unique experience as well as the application process and timeline for the Project.

Presented by the United National Committee Against Torture Project
