How Policy Impacts Military Readiness

Monday, April 5, 2010
12:00 PM - 01:30 PM

Panelists will discuss how policy and proposed legislation impacts military readiness and the current military operations. Some of the areas to be covered include the funding of the war in Afghanistan, the funding or lack of funding for the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, and the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy prohibiting gay, lesbian, and bisexual service members from serving openly in the military. Speakers will represent different perspectives on the issues and suggest policy changes for the current Administration.

Presented by the Legislation & Policy Brief
