The involvement of women in the U.S. military has significantly expanded since World War II. Despite considerable advances, female service members face many unique challenges, including discrimination and harassment at the hands of their fellow service members. This program will explore several of the issues faced by women serving in the U.S. military. Panelists will discuss the military's response to sexual assault and harassment of female service members, the expanding role of women in the military, and the barriers that remain.
