World Water Day: Legal Approaches to Global Water Sustainability

Monday, March 22, 2010
09:00 AM - 02:00 PM
*CLE*

The United Nations World Water Day is March 22 and SDLP will be presenting various panel discussions outlining current challenges to the sustainability of drinking water. Such challenges include distribution of water sources, the diplomacy involved in resolving issues of scarcity, and access to disadvantaged populations such as American Indians and the global south. Whether there should be a right to water is an issue of both legal and moral debate. Legal approaches to water access provide the background to understanding this growing global crisis.
