Basic Special Education Law for Special Education Hearing Officers

8:30 am - 4:30 pm

This program is intended for special education hearing officers with little or no previous experience. It will provide an understanding of the basic concepts and practices of special education required by hearing officers new to the field or seeking a refresher, with an emphasis on basic techniques and practices in conducting special education hearings and reaching decisions pursuant to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Registration is available only to persons who are currently serving as special education hearing officers and state-level administrators who have no policy-making responsibilities.
