April 3

9:00 am - 5:00 pm

This conference will explore how the role that human rights should play in the development process. It will focus on such issues as the concept of a “rights based development strategy”, operationalizing human rights in development, and the human rights responsibilities of non-state actors in development, such as transnational corporations and NGOs.

Sponsored by the International Legal Studies Program, the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, and PICEL
