The Sixth Annual Sylvania Woods Conference
on African Americans and the Law

The Sylvania Woods Conference on African Americans and the Law honors the memory of the late Sylvania Woods, a Maryland jurist and a 1960 alumnus of the Washington College of Law. The annual conference engages scholars, students, and practitioners in constructive dialogues on issues relating to African Americans in legal education and the legal profession. The program also includes presentation of the annual North Star Award and the Rising Star Award, as well as a day-long art show.
