Student Organizations Required to Maintain TWEN Sites & Organizational Presidents Required to Register for SBA TWEN Site
TO: All Student Organization Leaders Receiving SBA Funds
FROM: Adam J. Cohen, President & Jon D. Feere, Vice President
DATE: April 18, 2005
In an effort to have a complete database of all WCL student groups and to facilitate better communication between student groups and the SBA, the SBA will now require that all student groups create a TWEN webpage. The webpage will also provide contacts to all those involved with the SBA and will create "institutional memory" within each group so that questions regarding budget, election procedures, and the like will not have to be asked year after year.
While organizations are free to have their individual TWEN webpages contain anything they like, the SBA is requiring that it at least contain the following:
- Your group's SBA-approved Constitution
- E-mail contacts for your group's President, Vice-President, and Finance Chair
- Links to all other websites where current information about your group is now located
For assistance on how to obtain TWEN administrative access, please contact the current TWEN representative, Lisa Lockwood at lisalockwood@mac.com who is available to assist until the end of spring semester. You may also contact the WCL Westlaw representative John Lim during this time and throughout the summer at john.lim@thomson.com.
We are requesting that your TWEN site be up and running before the start of fall semester.
Also, all organizational presidents are now required to sign up for the 2005-2006 SBA "course" on TWEN as well. The SBA will be using the TWEN site's email option to send out important notices next year, which you will not be able to receive unless you are registered.
Thank you for addressing this at your very earliest convenience.
