Description
Explores military law around the globe. Topics examined include military law jurisprudence of the Inter-American system; the jurisdiction of the Canadian military justice system; the use and design of military commissions; command accountability; military justice on the battlefield; and the law governing battlefield detention of enemy combatants. Using comparative law materials, they also will consider what can be learned from the experiences of other countries. There will be a take-home exam.
